You know there are various reasons why macOS is often thought of as the best operating system around, and why so many people prefer it over other options. One key reason is that it’s built on a rock-solid UNIX foundation, which provides a lot of stability and security.

Plus, Apple puts a lot of effort into making sure that everything just works the way it’s supposed to—which is something that can’t always be said for other operating systems. And, macOS comes with a ton of great built-in applications and features that save you time and effort (like iCloud integration and Siri).

After macOS 12, everybody is waiting for macOS 13 eagerly. Because the 12th version took everyone by the sweep and the next macOS would do wonders if it gives a major update.

What is the latest macOS release date?

macOS 13 will be announced at WWDC 2022 alongside iOS 16, and iPadOS 16. It will likely release to the public in the fall of 2022. Like the previous two years, Apple would be announcing the new update along with its new products.

what would be macOS 13-supported devices?

Apple has not yet released macOS 13, so we don’t know for sure which devices will be supported. However, in general, the following macOS release list devices are likely to be supported:

  • iMac (Early 2015)
  • MacBook (Early 2015)
  • Mac mini (Early 2015)
  • MacBook Pro (Early 2015)
  • MacBook Air (Early 2015)
  • iMac Pro (Late 2017)
  • Mac Studio (Early 2022)

5 new things we wish macOS 13 should have

1. Weather app

There are a few reasons why having a Weather app built into the latest macOS 13 update would be useful. For one, it would make it easy to get weather updates without having to open a separate app. This is especially convenient if you’re using your laptop and need to quickly check the weather conditions before heading out.

Another reason is that the Weather app included in macOS 13 is likely going to be more accurate and reliable than some of the third-party weather apps available. Apple is known for its high standards when it comes to designing and developing its own software, so you can expect the Weather app in macOS 13 to be of good quality.

2. Time Machine and iCloud Backup

Some people might find that using Time Machine or iCloud backups is the best way to ensure that their data is safe. Backing up your data regularly can help you protect your information in case of a computer crash or other emergency.

Others might simply prefer the convenience of having their data backed up automatically, without needing to remember to do it themselves. iCloud backups happen automatically in the background, so you don’t have to worry about them – and they’re encrypted, so your data is always safe.

3. App Library

The App Library would be a great addition to the latest macOS update. It allows you to quickly find and launch apps and also provides a place for all your apps to be stored in one central location. This can be especially useful if you have a lot of apps installed on your Mac. No longer do you need to search through all your folders to find the one you’re looking for; with the App Library, it’s as easy as opening up one central directory. Additionally, the App Library will help you save space on your dock by allowing you to store infrequently used or large apps off to the side.
